Edition Policy

Edition Policy

Edition Policy – All photographic works presented on this website are offered as limited edition fine art prints, produced and managed according to strict edition controls.
This policy defines how editions are created, numbered, printed, and permanently closed.

Edition Structure

Each photographic work is released in a finite edition, declared in advance and never expanded.

An edition is defined by:

  • A specific image
  • A specific size range
  • A specific print medium

No additional prints will be produced outside the declared edition parameters.

Edition Size

Edition sizes are intentionally limited to preserve artistic integrity and long-term collectability.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Each work is limited to between 10 and 20 prints in total
  • Edition sizes include all prints produced at all approved sizes and mediums
  • Once the edition limit is reached, the edition is permanently closed

Sizes & Formats

Each work is approved for a limited number of print sizes, determined by the original capture resolution, print quality thresholds, and the artistic intent of the image.

Print sizes are selected to ensure that each work meets professional exhibition and archival standards. Oversized prints are offered selectively and only where both technical integrity and aesthetic intent are fully maintained.

Available print sizes are determined by the native resolution and aspect ratio of the original image file. Sizes are not expanded indiscriminately, and not all works are available in all formats.

Works are typically offered in Small, Medium, and Large size tiers.
Available sizes for each work are listed on the individual Work page.

Pricing is provided on enquiry.

Print Medium & Production

All prints are produced as:

  • Archival pigment prints
  • Printed on museum-grade archival paper
  • Using professional, colour-managed workflows

Print production is:

  • Artist-supervised or artist-approved
  • Consistent across the entire edition
  • Subject to strict quality control

Numbering & Authentication

Each print is:

  • Individually numbered (e.g. 3/15)
  • Marked on the reverse of the print
  • Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity

The Certificate of Authenticity confirms:

  • Image title
  • Edition number
  • Total edition size
  • Print size and medium
  • Date of printing

Artist Proofs (if applicable)

Where artist proofs exist:

  • They are clearly marked A/P
  • They do not exceed 10% of the total edition
  • They are retained by the artist or released selectively

Artist proofs are not substitutes for edition prints and are tracked separately.

Edition Closure

Once an edition is complete:

  • No further prints will be produced
  • No reprints will be made, regardless of demand
  • Digital files are archived and removed from active print production

Edition closure is final and irreversible.

Post-Edition Use

After an edition is closed:

  • The image will not be reissued in the same size or medium
  • The image will not be released as an open edition
  • The image may be retained for archival or documentary purposes only

Any future use in a different medium (e.g. book reproduction) does not constitute a print edition and does not affect the closed status of the edition.

Resale & Provenance

Collectors may resell physical prints as artworks, provided:

  • The print remains unaltered
  • The Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the work

The artist does not participate in resale pricing or secondary market transactions.

Policy Integrity

This Edition Policy applies to all works presented on this website unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Any deviation from this policy must be:

  • Clearly disclosed in writing
  • Confirmed by the artist
